Emmanuele holds degrees in Information Engineering, Philosophy of Science, and Epistemology of the Human Sciences. For thirty years, he has worked as a technical journalist and essayist, analyzing computing systems, digital infrastructure, and science policy.
His recent work focuses on privacy, biomedical technology, electronic voting, and artificial intelligence. His writing has appeared in Wired, Agenda Digitale, Infomedia, Punto Informatico, Medium, Apogeo, and MC Microcomputer. He previously served as editor-in-chief of technical monthlies DEV and Linux Magazine, founded Login - Save Internet Wealth, and contributed regularly to Radio Linux and Radio Radicale.
His published work includes technical manuals, a monograph on the SCO v. Linux litigation, and the Hermes Guide to Digital Voting. His research explores decision transparency, peer-to-peer network resilience, and the institutional vulnerabilities of automated administration.
